2016 Fairest of the Fair Was crowned at the 2016 Farm City Dinner at Jefferson St Inn
Allison B. From Wausau, was selected. She is a sophomore at UW Eau Claire, Majoring in accounting. She is a form 4H Participant of 10 years
Fairest duties include representing the fair throughout the summer; Traveling throughout Marathon County to different events, organizations, 4H clubs and service clubs talking about what's new at the Wisconsin Valley Fair, creating excitement and encouraging people to attend. The Fairest also serves as the official host of the Wisconsin Valley Fair.
"Allison Brings a working and varied knowledge of the 4H program and its benefits," Said Maria Lucero, Fair Manager, adding, "We are looking forward to her representing the fair experience and the value of agriculture in our community."
The Fairest Program has been sponsored by Jim Kryshak Jewelers, First Place Trophy, and Riiser Energy. Alison will receive and $500 Scholarship and internship with the Wisconsin Valley Fair.
This is the 16th year of the fairest program in Marathon County. The 2015 Fairest, Anissa W. of Wausau was honored and share her memories an suggestions to the new fairest. Walters is a senior at UW Stevens Point, Majoring in Special Education.
