Grandstand Seating Layout:
The grandstand, which was brand new in 2002, has 4,000 seats with backs. Some of the seats are sheltered but the majority are not. There are two grass areas on the berm of the grandstand to sit as well. Handicapped seating is available in the grandstand in designated areas that also provide a chair for a companion. In addition, there is a granite area between the stage where people can bring in their own lawn chairs or stand. In 2005, there will be a reserved section of 500 metal folding chairs that will be referred to as VIP seating that will be located on the granite area closest to the stage. If you are interested in VIP seating, please refer to the section below for pricing information. Otherwise, all other seats are free with your paid admission to the fair.
There are two ways to see the show:
1. General Seating or
2. VIP seating.
General Seating: Gates for seating for the grandstand shows open at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. There will be two lines on the east side of the grandstand and two lines on the west side of the grandstand for a total of four lines. On each side there will be signs stating where to stand in line for which entrance. One entrance will be for lawn chair seating. One entrance will be handicapped entrance and grandstand seating. Handicapped persons have the option of being let into the grandstand 15 minutes prior to the gate opening time. Announcements will be made to those waiting in line.
Each person is allowed to bring in two lawn chairs only. You may save your seat and one other in the grandstand. Although not recommend, you may leave your seat unattended. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
VIP Seating (Reserved Seating):
VIP seating is available for 500 seats. VIP seats are folding chairs on the granite in front of the stage with no overhead protection from the weather. VIP seating will cost $17.00 per seat, per show (tax included, plus handling fees.) This price does not include your admission into the fair or any parking fees. All seats have an assigned section, row and seat number. As a courtesy to other show attendees, we ask that you be in your seat at least 15 minutes prior to show time.

Commonly Asked Questions:
Are reserved tickets refundable?
If the show goes on, no. If the show is cancelled, yes. If a show does get cancelled, you will have to present your ticket to the fair office within one week of the show date for a refund.
Are admission passes refundable?
No.
What if it rains?
There is no cover for the reserved seating area. We recommend that you bring along your rain poncho. Many entertainers have performed in the rain before. Grandstand shows are only cancelled in the event of severe weather when the fairgoers safety is at risk. Over the past 25+ years, only one show has been cancelled due to tornado warnings. The show may be delayed to let storms pass through, but that will be dependent upon the situation and the entertainer.
Can I pick the row and seat?
No, seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, if a larger quantity of tickets are purchased, we will try to keep your seats together.
How many tickets can I purchase?
On person can purchase a maximum of 20 tickets. There is no re-selling of any tickets.
